It can be really hard to maintain good healthy levels of diet and fitness during pregnancy because of the foods that make you feel sick or the all too common pregnancy cravings.

Try to remember that you are making a baby and that you want it to be healthy. You only need an extra 300 calories when you are pregnant and you should try to eat plenty of protein and take prenatal vitamins.

Following a good diet and fitness during pregnancy will also help reduce the chance of miscarriage. You should include diary products which are essential to help build up your calcium levels, plenty of red meat and fish, or if you are vegetarian plenty of beans and lentils.
